Finally got my Camera Back!

I've been without my camera since the trip to Natchez, because I left it in my moms car. I'm finally getting to post some pictures of our fabulous weekend. We really had a great time. Andrea opening her wedding gift before we head out on the town of Natchez.
Beautiful Babes getting in shape for Andrea's upcoming wedding.

Thank you Donna for taking us on the carriage ride, it was really great!
Kissing cousins, I bet this picture embarrasses him in a few years!

Sorry, I forgot how fun it is..............

........to blog that is. I shouldn't wait so long between blogs. Just wanted everyone to know how excited I am about this weekend. Its going to be so much fun. I think we should all get a huge condo at the beach next summer and have a three or four day weekend. Now, that would be so great. We don't have to leave the guys out, but sometimes it is fun to do things on your own. Although I am kind of sad to leave Sean home alone, but don't worry I'll get over it. Love ya'll and see you soon!

A Sex Offender close by!

We now have a sex offender in our neighborhood. He lives about seven houses down. He was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He has actually lived there for a while, but we just received the flier in the mail. Scary! We already knew about him, because you know how news like that spreads like fire. The story goes like this, he was 26 and dating a girl who was 17. Her parents knew they were dating, but she got pregnant and they said he had to marry her. He refused and they got angry. So that is what happened, it still is never good to have a sex offender live in your neighborhood, but I guess it could be worse. He is dating the woman who had the dogs that attacked the little boy. Things just seem to be getting worse for her. I guess the saying "when it rains, it pours" definitely applies to her.

Look how cute! Alexia likes to treat Chewee like a baby. She was pushing him around in her baby stroller and he fell asleep.

Updates..........

Cousin Jade and Alexia had so much fun together.
Old MawMaw and Old PawPaw came down to visit.

Austin receiving his award for being in the Beta Club.
Alexia receiving her first grade honor roll award.

Beautiful Day

The weather was so nice today. It always takes so long for it to cool off in Louisiana, but today it didn't reach 80 degrees. Which made it a great day for having fun with the kids. Austin and Alexia didn't have to go to school today because we have a fair going on. I'm glad that they have the day off, but I just wonder why they get a day off for a silly fair. They do things different down here in Livingston Parish. There what we call "country"! So, anyway we got up early and went and ate at McDonald's. Alexia spilt her drink twice, and of course she started to cry. I didn't even fuss a her, she is just like me though, so tender hearted. Then after that little episode, we picked up two friends, one for Austin and one for Alexia, and headed to the movies. We saw "Open Season", it was really cute. When we got out of the movies the weather was still so nice, so we went to the park and played for a while. I tried to swing, but for some reason the older I get I can't take any kind of motion. I got very nauseated! We still had a lot of fun. After, Sean got off of work we headed to the mall, but once I was there I wished I was home because I was ready for a nap. I couldn't tell him that though, because he didn't want to go in the first place. He just wanted to make me happy. Which he did! We had a great day.

Updates!

Ok, I confess. I have made a major blog and email sin. I did not read my blogs or emails for about a week. So, I have a lot to catch up on. SORRY!

Well, to start Lexi is home sick from school today with a sore throat and fever. She is so pitiful when she is sick. I can't leave her side. She has a doctors appointment a 11 o'clock, so hopefully she'll start to fell better soon.

Friday night we all met at Chili's for dinner. We had to wait over an hour for a table of nine, and by that time I was starving! So I had to get a burger, not good if your on weightwatchers, but I did split it with mom, so it was really only half the points. Mom, Dad, Alexia, Chad, Stacy, and Caleb all went to walmart after. I think they needed to walk some of their food off. But, it never fails mom and dad MUST go to walmart every single Friday night. They are obsessed with it. I would have gone to but Sean was ready to go home. He hates to shop! Especially on a full stomach.

Saturday, Austin went to a friends house for the day. Alexia went shopping and got her nails painted with one of our neighbors. Sean and I stayed home and watched a disappointing LSU game. So, we were depressed for the rest of the day. I did get to go shopping later that afternoon, so the depression started to lift. After shopping we picked up Austin from his friends, and he told us that his friends mom took them to Lone Star. Guess what he got? Lobster and steak! We were actually kind of jealous.

Sunday, we woke up to get ready for church and Alexia and Sean were sick. So, we stayed home. Sean was actually going to go with us, but wouldn't you know it, they were both sick. The one time he said he would go, they would both get sick. Well, maybe next week. We stayed home the whole day and watched the Saints game. They won! YEAH! I think that updates my weekend. By the way, the little boy down the street is doing much better. His scars are really not to bad. I think he can go back to school this week.

Say a Little Prayer.....

Yesterday, there was one of Alexia's friends down the street that got attacked by a dog. The dog bit his face, head , and arm. He was staying with one of our neighbors while his mom was out of town and dad was at work. Well, he went to hug the dog and the dog turned on him and tore into his face and wouldn't let go. The lady who was watching him tried to get her dog off of him, but the dog wouldn't let loose. She severed two fingers in the process. They both went into surgery later that day. Please pray for them and their families. It was very traumatic for both families. They need our prayers. Thanks.

PawPaw's Birthday Party!

We topped our fun day with something very special. PawPaw's Birthday Party. We had fajitas for dinner and a delicious torte cake. So good. We had all the family over to celebrate with good food and fun. PawPaw turned 55 today! Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you.

New Baby in the Family

Today we picked up our new addition to our family. His name is Chewee. He is precious!! We all want to hold him, so we have to take turns one minute at a time. At first Sean didn't want him, but guess you wants to hold him the most, SEAN. He changed his mind when he finally got to see him. We love him already. See for yourself, he is really cute.

Best Friends

Sleepover

As I type this blog, I hear three little girls giggling and having fun. Alexia is having her sleepover tonight. We brought them to blockbuster to rent some movies and ordered some pizza. They are having so much fun! I think Alexia is getting tired though, because she just came in here and asked when she could go to sleep. So much for staying up all night. Austin pretends he hates all the girls being here, but I really think he likes it. He turned down an offer to go to his friends house to stay home. I think he likes having time to his mom and dad without Lexi interrupting. In the morning we are taking the girls skating for a couple of hours. All the girls are so little, so we'll see how this goes (hopefully not to many bumps and bruises).

After we go skating tomorrow, we are going to pick up our new puppy. He will be six weeks and ready to leave his mom. He is a Shitzu. We have been trying to think of a name for two weeks, but no decision yet. We are going to wait to see how his personality is before we decided. I'll post some pictures when we get him. He is so cute. We picked him out two weeks ago, but he wasn't old enough to come home yet. So, we are really excited to bring him home.

Having some fun!

Jumping! Swinging! Having Fun!

Making Austin Take a Picture

Can you see how much he loves taking pictures. Look at the joy on his face. On the other hand Alexia loves to take pictures. She starts posing as soon as I get the camera out.

A day OFF!

Not really, but I did get a lot done. I have to babysit down the street for a neighbor while she goes to the dentist. It's so nice having Fridays off, I just didn't realize it until I started working. So, first thing I did this morning was drop the kids off at school and went and got my oil changed. It needed it! Then I decided to splurge and get my car detailed. It looks so pretty, all shiny and new. The lovebugs are awful around here, so my car really needed it. Then I had to do my daily Wal-Mart trip. Most people hate to go to Wal-Mart, but I love it. I like to shop the sales. Now I'm about to leave to go babysit for a few hours.......It's been a busy day and it's only 12:30......

Need some spare Time

Finally, I have time to do a little updating. This past week I have been so busy. I guess I haven't worked in so long I forgot how to do it (work that is). Every night there has been something that we have to do. It's taking away from my blogging time. I still read everyone's about 3 times a day, but I like to read them better than writing my own. I will try to write more often.

Well, so far I am really enjoying work. It's nice to be making some extra money and still be home when the kids are not at school. Yesterday, was Alexia's birthday. We just had a little family party before she went to dance class. Then after dance we went to moms and dads. She had made little cupcakes for her and gave her a ton of "girlie" gifts. She just loves that kind of stuff (purses and clothes) and money too! She was so excited. Alexia is going to have a sleep over next weekend with a few girls from the neighborhood, then we're going to take them skating. I hope I'm up for it!

Working Girl

Well, today I started my new job. I think I will like working as a tutor much better than a sub. I just have to help the teacher out with anything she needs. It's good hours and good pay. I work from 8:30 till 11:30, go home for an hour and a half and come back at 1:00. Then I get to leave again at 3:00. The school is only a few minutes away, so I can come and go quickly. I like it because I'm not the one in charge of the kids. So, no stress at all!

Also, we went to Weight Watchers tonight. I thought I was going to do bad because we went out to eat so much this week, but surprisingly I still lost 1.2 pounds. Not bad, especially sense I ate a delicious shrimp poyboy! It was worth it (I think it was about 100 points). Mom did better than I did, but she always does. For some reason she loses weight a lot faster than I do. I really enjoy going to the meetings every Tuesday night. It's kind of like a girls night out. I get to leave the kids with Sean, and be on my own for an hour or two. After the meetings mom and I go to Subway. You would be surprised how delicious a sandwich can be when your on a diet. Hopefully ya'll will be seeing less of us next time you see us.

Day at the Beach

We went to Pensacola Beach on Saturday. We had a nice time, but it was so hot! Normally, there is a nice breeze blowing thru the air, but not this time. It was just plain old hot. The one good thing about this was that because there was no wind it made the ocean very calm. No huge waves, just calm waters. Nice. I've never seen it like that before. We played in the water all day.

The kids had so much fun playing with the seaweed. They would ball it up and throw it at each other. Then they had the idea to put it on their bodies and make it look like hair. Gross, but hilarious. They had little black mustaches and hairy underarms. We joked with Austin that this is what he will look like when he is 30. So funny.

After spending most of the day at the beach we were starving, so we ate at this crab restraunt. Of course Sean had to get the most expensive meal on the menu. He got crabs. We all tasted them, they were so good. Then we went shopping at the souvenir shops. We looked and looked , but we couldn't find anything we wanted.

We were going to stay the night, but because it was a holiday weekend, there was no rooms at all. We had to head home after a long day at the beach. I was so sleepy, Sean had to drive the whole way home. It only took about 3 hours to get home, so it wasn't too bad.

It was nice just to get away, even if it was short.

Baby Bull

I Wanted to post a picture of Austin that I had taken with my new camera, but Austin erased all of the ones of him. So, I couldn't have a picture of Alexia and not Austin. This is him in the condo pool on our last trip to the beach in July.

He is also doing really good in school. He was invited to be in the Bata Club for making all A's and B's last year. He's so smart (I'm not just saying that because I'm the mom). He really is. Seriously!!!

Smart Girl

Alexia has started to read. She has homework now (which she has been waiting for sense Austin started school). At first she loved it but , now it's setting in that homework is actually work. She is doing really well, but she is such a perfectionist that if she doesn't do it right the first time she gets very frustrated. I tell her that as long as she does her best she'll be fine, but I'm not sure if she quite believes me. It's weird because Austin has always been so sure of himself. It's proof that children turn out different, even if you think you raise them the same.

When I saw all the babies last month at Amanda's wedding I remembered how fun it was to have little, tiny ones around. But I also cherish the moments I have with my children at the age they are now. I know one day I'll look back at their pictures at this age and think they look so small. No matter how old they get they will always be my babies.

New Floors

This is my new floor. I just bought a new camera, but I'm not really sure on how to post pictures. If I did it right you should be seeing my new floor. We were going to start on the kitchen floor this long weekend, but instead we decided that we're going to the beach one last time for the summer. I'm so excited. I love the beach. Every time we go I dream about buying a house on the beach. But, then reality hits and then I think how bad it can be when a hurricane hits. Well, got to go pack..... I'll post some beach pictures when we get back.

I'm Back

Today I started my weight watchers plan. I went to the meeting last night but, I didn't actually start untill this morning. So for my last "fat meal" last night, we went to a mexican reastraunt. It was so yummy! I hope I can stick with it this time.

We also finished our floors in the livingroom and hallway. It really looks great. It was worth all the hard work. I didn't think we would ever finish, though. Now we are about to start on the kitchen. I can't wait to start fighting agian. HaHa, Just Kidding! I think this should be a little easier. I'll keep you posted on how things are comming along.

I'm getting embarrassed

I knew I couldn't spell, but I haven't had to spell in so long that it's just got out of control. So, when you read my blog or comments just ignore the misspelled words please.

Now, to move on. We have been working on our floors all week and still are not finished. It's really hard to get around all our door frames. Also, Sean and I have been fighting like cats and dogs!!! I can't wait to finish this project, for our lives to get back to normal. Before we start working every night, we say "OK, no fighting tonight", but by the end of the night I have cried at least once. Don't think much of me crying because I'm very tender hearted. It doesn't take much for me to cry. That said, I still would never want to work with Sean. We just don't get along when we work together. Even if we have been fighting every night this week I still love him so much. Hopefully, We should be finished by this weekend. At least I hope so.

Sick Babies

Every time school starts I know my kids will get sick and guess what. They did! They had a half week, Wed. through Friday, and now they are sick as dogs. Austin went back to school today, but Alexia is still home. They must have some nasty germs at school. Please pray for them.

Also, we are about halfway done with our floors and they look really nice. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I think we're getting the hang of it. My dad came over last night and helped a little. He knows how to put the finishing touches on the floor to make it look nice. Sean actually wanted his help, this is very unusual because he never wants help for anything. He thinks he can do everything himself, and most of the time he can. I just thought it was sweet that he wanted my dads help. We all need help sometime.

It's That Time Again

It never fails, at least one time a year I have to do this, "LOSE WEIGHT". What started it off this year was trying to find an outfit to wear to Amanda's wedding. I went shopping everyday for almost two weeks. I tried on every dress that would fit and hated every last one of them. After two weeks of shopping I finally found two shirts to go with black pants. Well, I thought I had found something to wear, until I tried it on for Sean. To make this long story a little shorter, lets just say I ended up in tears. He really didn't say anything mean, it was just the look on his face. So, back to the beginning of my story, I want to lose weight. Mom and I are going to start weight watchers next week. Pray that we do well.

New Floors

We are shopping for new floors. We are going to try bamboo floors, they are really beautiful. The only bad thing is that we are going to do it ourselves. Scary!!! Sean has a friend that used to do floors for a living so, he is going to help us. Even more scary is that we are also going to put tile in our kitchen. I'm not worried about the work, I just don't want it to look ugly. I think it will be worth doing all the work ourselves, because we will be saving so much money.Wish us luck.

Back to School

Wednesday was back to school for Austin and Alexia. So far things are going well for them. They both like their teachers. When I droped them off for their first day, I got a little sad. So, I went shopping and everything was better. Shopping cures almost anything. I plan on being a subtitute at their school again this year, but I'm sure it will be a few more weeks befor I get a call. Thank God! I really don't know if I like being a subtitute, but I feel guilty if I don't. When the kids are at school and Sean is at work, I feel like I should be doing something. More than just cleaning and watching T.V. Oh, and most important shopping and spending money!
