Say a Little Prayer.....

Yesterday, there was one of Alexia's friends down the street that got attacked by a dog. The dog bit his face, head , and arm. He was staying with one of our neighbors while his mom was out of town and dad was at work. Well, he went to hug the dog and the dog turned on him and tore into his face and wouldn't let go. The lady who was watching him tried to get her dog off of him, but the dog wouldn't let loose. She severed two fingers in the process. They both went into surgery later that day. Please pray for them and their families. It was very traumatic for both families. They need our prayers. Thanks.

PawPaw's Birthday Party!

We topped our fun day with something very special. PawPaw's Birthday Party. We had fajitas for dinner and a delicious torte cake. So good. We had all the family over to celebrate with good food and fun. PawPaw turned 55 today! Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you.

New Baby in the Family

Today we picked up our new addition to our family. His name is Chewee. He is precious!! We all want to hold him, so we have to take turns one minute at a time. At first Sean didn't want him, but guess you wants to hold him the most, SEAN. He changed his mind when he finally got to see him. We love him already. See for yourself, he is really cute.

Best Friends

Sleepover

As I type this blog, I hear three little girls giggling and having fun. Alexia is having her sleepover tonight. We brought them to blockbuster to rent some movies and ordered some pizza. They are having so much fun! I think Alexia is getting tired though, because she just came in here and asked when she could go to sleep. So much for staying up all night. Austin pretends he hates all the girls being here, but I really think he likes it. He turned down an offer to go to his friends house to stay home. I think he likes having time to his mom and dad without Lexi interrupting. In the morning we are taking the girls skating for a couple of hours. All the girls are so little, so we'll see how this goes (hopefully not to many bumps and bruises).

After we go skating tomorrow, we are going to pick up our new puppy. He will be six weeks and ready to leave his mom. He is a Shitzu. We have been trying to think of a name for two weeks, but no decision yet. We are going to wait to see how his personality is before we decided. I'll post some pictures when we get him. He is so cute. We picked him out two weeks ago, but he wasn't old enough to come home yet. So, we are really excited to bring him home.

Having some fun!

Jumping! Swinging! Having Fun!

Making Austin Take a Picture

Can you see how much he loves taking pictures. Look at the joy on his face. On the other hand Alexia loves to take pictures. She starts posing as soon as I get the camera out.

A day OFF!

Not really, but I did get a lot done. I have to babysit down the street for a neighbor while she goes to the dentist. It's so nice having Fridays off, I just didn't realize it until I started working. So, first thing I did this morning was drop the kids off at school and went and got my oil changed. It needed it! Then I decided to splurge and get my car detailed. It looks so pretty, all shiny and new. The lovebugs are awful around here, so my car really needed it. Then I had to do my daily Wal-Mart trip. Most people hate to go to Wal-Mart, but I love it. I like to shop the sales. Now I'm about to leave to go babysit for a few hours.......It's been a busy day and it's only 12:30......

Need some spare Time

Finally, I have time to do a little updating. This past week I have been so busy. I guess I haven't worked in so long I forgot how to do it (work that is). Every night there has been something that we have to do. It's taking away from my blogging time. I still read everyone's about 3 times a day, but I like to read them better than writing my own. I will try to write more often.

Well, so far I am really enjoying work. It's nice to be making some extra money and still be home when the kids are not at school. Yesterday, was Alexia's birthday. We just had a little family party before she went to dance class. Then after dance we went to moms and dads. She had made little cupcakes for her and gave her a ton of "girlie" gifts. She just loves that kind of stuff (purses and clothes) and money too! She was so excited. Alexia is going to have a sleep over next weekend with a few girls from the neighborhood, then we're going to take them skating. I hope I'm up for it!

Working Girl

Well, today I started my new job. I think I will like working as a tutor much better than a sub. I just have to help the teacher out with anything she needs. It's good hours and good pay. I work from 8:30 till 11:30, go home for an hour and a half and come back at 1:00. Then I get to leave again at 3:00. The school is only a few minutes away, so I can come and go quickly. I like it because I'm not the one in charge of the kids. So, no stress at all!

Also, we went to Weight Watchers tonight. I thought I was going to do bad because we went out to eat so much this week, but surprisingly I still lost 1.2 pounds. Not bad, especially sense I ate a delicious shrimp poyboy! It was worth it (I think it was about 100 points). Mom did better than I did, but she always does. For some reason she loses weight a lot faster than I do. I really enjoy going to the meetings every Tuesday night. It's kind of like a girls night out. I get to leave the kids with Sean, and be on my own for an hour or two. After the meetings mom and I go to Subway. You would be surprised how delicious a sandwich can be when your on a diet. Hopefully ya'll will be seeing less of us next time you see us.

Day at the Beach

We went to Pensacola Beach on Saturday. We had a nice time, but it was so hot! Normally, there is a nice breeze blowing thru the air, but not this time. It was just plain old hot. The one good thing about this was that because there was no wind it made the ocean very calm. No huge waves, just calm waters. Nice. I've never seen it like that before. We played in the water all day.

The kids had so much fun playing with the seaweed. They would ball it up and throw it at each other. Then they had the idea to put it on their bodies and make it look like hair. Gross, but hilarious. They had little black mustaches and hairy underarms. We joked with Austin that this is what he will look like when he is 30. So funny.

After spending most of the day at the beach we were starving, so we ate at this crab restraunt. Of course Sean had to get the most expensive meal on the menu. He got crabs. We all tasted them, they were so good. Then we went shopping at the souvenir shops. We looked and looked , but we couldn't find anything we wanted.

We were going to stay the night, but because it was a holiday weekend, there was no rooms at all. We had to head home after a long day at the beach. I was so sleepy, Sean had to drive the whole way home. It only took about 3 hours to get home, so it wasn't too bad.

It was nice just to get away, even if it was short.

Baby Bull

I Wanted to post a picture of Austin that I had taken with my new camera, but Austin erased all of the ones of him. So, I couldn't have a picture of Alexia and not Austin. This is him in the condo pool on our last trip to the beach in July.

He is also doing really good in school. He was invited to be in the Bata Club for making all A's and B's last year. He's so smart (I'm not just saying that because I'm the mom). He really is. Seriously!!!

Smart Girl

Alexia has started to read. She has homework now (which she has been waiting for sense Austin started school). At first she loved it but , now it's setting in that homework is actually work. She is doing really well, but she is such a perfectionist that if she doesn't do it right the first time she gets very frustrated. I tell her that as long as she does her best she'll be fine, but I'm not sure if she quite believes me. It's weird because Austin has always been so sure of himself. It's proof that children turn out different, even if you think you raise them the same.

When I saw all the babies last month at Amanda's wedding I remembered how fun it was to have little, tiny ones around. But I also cherish the moments I have with my children at the age they are now. I know one day I'll look back at their pictures at this age and think they look so small. No matter how old they get they will always be my babies.

New Floors

This is my new floor. I just bought a new camera, but I'm not really sure on how to post pictures. If I did it right you should be seeing my new floor. We were going to start on the kitchen floor this long weekend, but instead we decided that we're going to the beach one last time for the summer. I'm so excited. I love the beach. Every time we go I dream about buying a house on the beach. But, then reality hits and then I think how bad it can be when a hurricane hits. Well, got to go pack..... I'll post some beach pictures when we get back.
